Hi again, so this time on my 1999 vw Jetta TDI, my passenger side doors (front and rear) won’t unlock with the remote, I’ve tried unlocking with the switch on Both side and won’t unlock still. Please help! I’m anxious!
Well I have tried that! But I just bought a 00 TDI for 600 bucks. So I’ll just switch over any parts I need lolThis will sound silly, but try clicking lock first, then unlock.
Probably will have similar problems. The door lock modules are common failures.Well I have tried that! But I just bought a 00 TDI for 600 bucks. So I’ll just switch over any parts I need lol
I thought that there were solenoids that moved the door locks, instead of the vacuum actuators on the older cars. They are electric mechanical sensors, cheap little things, hard to get to.

No vacuum actuators.I thought that there were solenoids that moved the door locks, instead of the vacuum actuators on the older cars.
Can the 'door open' sensor/switch (that turns on the dome light, etc..) also cause lock/unlock problems?
