Default LED reverse light error

I installed a set of Philips LED reverse lights and now I'm getting error light. I thought I read someone post the coding to fix this but can't find it. Anyone resolve this issue and care to share?

Try this:

To recode reverse lights (both left and right sides) to LEDs:

Open VCDS / Select / 09-Cent. Elect. / Security Access - 16 / enter 31347 / Do It / OK / Adaptation - 10 / Channel (drop down menu) / Leuchte28RFL Lasttyp28 / New value (drop down menu) / 43 - allgemeine LED / Do It! / Yes / OK etc.

Repeat for other side:
go back to Channel (drop down menu) / Leuchte29RFL Lasttyp29 / New value (drop down menu) / 43 - allgemeine LED / Do It! / Yes / OK etc.

To increase brightness:

Open VCDS / Select / 09-Cent. Elect. / Security Access - 16 / enter 31347 / Do It / OK / Adaptation - 10 / Channel (drop down menu) / Leuchte28RFL Dimmwert AB 28 / enter new value / 127 (original was 100) / Do It! / Yes / OK etc.

Repeat for other side:
go back to Channel (drop down menu) / Leuchte29RFL – Dimmwert AB 29 / enter new value / 127 (original was 100) / Do It / Yes / OK etc.

I used Phillips LEDs, didn't have a dash light but did have fault codes. Just recoded today, and so far so good. Changes may take 30 minutes or so to take effect.

thanks for the help. It worked perfect once I got the bulbs rotated.

any tips for the LED license plate bulbs? They work great, just get the error message. Maybe point me to the cheat list for these so I don't ask dumb questions.

Same idea, just use

Leuchte25KZL HA59-Lasttyp 25 /
43 - allgemeine LED (to recode to LED bulbs)

and Leuchte25KZL HA59 – Dimmwert AB 25 / enter new value / 127 (original was 100) (to increase brightness)

I picked up some bulbs on amazon that were canbus error free, they light up great, no error codes, but the SMD socket design of them caused them to pop out of the housing after a little bit of rough driving.

Good thing they had a whole in the center of the SMD wafer, I just zip tied them into the socket and haven't had an issue since. I'm guessing the hours on them are under 2 total, but darn they light up crazy bright now.

Easy thing to double check.
