Manual trans. Having difficulty shifting into 1st and 2ng gear. High gears work fine. Also acting a little funny when i downshift to slow down.
Lastly, quite a bit of vibration as i take off from stop.

Any idea. I’ve had the car for 6 years and it has 280,000 miles.

Any help appreciated. I thought it may be clutch but not certain now being the rest of the gears work fine.

Does it grind when going into reverse with the motor running? With the motor off, does it shift the same, better, or worse?

Shifts fine with car off. Whe i put it in gear with clutch pedal pushed down it causes a significant increase in vibaration from the motor.

clearly the clutch is not fully disengaging. This is likely a problem with the clutch itself. Hydraulic system problems are very rare.
