B4 Passat Side marker Lights?

One of my side emblems popped out so I have to replace it with something. Does someone make a clear side marker light for the B4 Passat? I don't have to wire it in I just want it to cover the hole. The parts diagram at the dealer shows a side light but the part number doesn't come up. I was thinking of buying some on eBay but the only ones that fit a B4 are from Hong Kong. The rest say they fit everything else but a B4 Passat.

I may be wrong, but I could swear I read that the B5 side marker light (to replace the Wolfsburg emblem in the fender) will work in the B4. Hopefully someone who has done this mod will chime in shortly. Good luck.

YOu'll need the following:

1H0 949 111 (Socket for bulb-- according to worldimpex.com-- it's the same thing on the A3 socket for the front marker lights on the side)


3A0 949 101 (A-amber lens/ B-smoked lens)


It uses a W5W bulb

the lenses from a Mk4 car will pop right in:

Only two wires. Pretty straight forward. A test light or voltmeter is helpful
