Hi guys, I have a 2002 mk4 golf PD130. Been having a lot of problems recently with it. Had a new battery and starter motor fitted on around the 12th January and since then its been fine.
Last couple of weeks however it has been starting fine on minute and then the next it needs bumping to get going. Noticed last night that when turning the ignition on the red battery light on the dash is flickering 2-3 times and then going out completeley and I'm not even getting any click from the starter motor.
Wondering if anyone would have any idea what could be causing this. I've checked all the fuses and relays and supposedly all the wiring has been checked by a local mechanic. Completeley at a loss.
