2.5bar @ 5000rpm?!? Would't that be overspooling a 52mm wheel like crazy?

Is there even any compressor maps available for the newer GTB wheels? (I have a GTB1752V (Renault/Nissan/Opel 2.5DCI) that will be used in a sequential setup, so that high PR would be really nice to have until the LP turbo wakes up)

no way would you run 2.5bar to 5000rpm!! mid range only!

i dont have the comp maps, i'm just told what to do by my turbo guy, i normally then run more than he says so who knows what it will be running! haha

i have this GTB1852v as my HP, no real testing yet though!!

Bigger turbo's offer more flow, not always more pressure!!

LOL there is a little bit of fear, more so for the bottom end of my block; its all stock!

Limited Slip going in soon, fresh tires, and i'll put some pressure on Mr Malone to send me some big power files! I'll make a few dyno runs to see what she's got... dyno numbers or not, your GTB2260 kit makes some really good daily drivable power!

hi i own polo tdi estate alh and the turbo has gone and im after putting the more reliable pd 150 tdi turbo on but funds are tight at the moment, can i put the 150 turbo on without a re map as cant afford turbo plus remap before xmas and really need my car as im disabled thanks.

It is not recommended to put a PD150 Turbocharger on without having the tune altered to compensate. You could fit yourself in another oily mess very soon with Overboost issues.

I would find a cheap used VNT15 Turbocharger to kepe you going until you have the funds for the upgrade.

gt1749v is that the right one for my alh polo estate as it was very quick as my mates golf pd 150 running 196bhp 333 torques only just about pull away from mine
, i also enquired with vw who told me its 110 bhp as its got varible vane turbo even though alh is usually 90bhp, is that right? many thanks

The ALH has the same Turbocharger as the ASV 110. Yours might have different Injectors. The stock turbocharger will do ~150bhp.

We charge £250 + VAT for a custom map.

hi thanks for all the information, i've decided to go with the gt1749vb off the PD150 tdi. have you got a rough idea what sort of power i could expect after a re map to a safe power figure,the head has been rebuilt and bottom end also as the polo estate is(was) my daily, thanks again for all the information
and would it have to be towed to have the re map, thanks.

Your injectors will max out at 140hp or so, the turbo will easily push 190hp so larger injectors are a must really. I'd go for .260 or .275 seeing as you are having a custom tune.

You could drive over steady with the turbo but fit the injectors here.

.240s would be the best bet for the PD150 Turbocharger:

Pd150 Inlet and Race Pipe to suit would be £140 + VAT. ALH one is no use, we just scrap them usually!

Hi Ryan, would i need the n75 valve off a pd 150 to suit the pd150 turbo? and most important of all ive just noticed today that the n75 valve that should of been actuating my turbo was not the n75 it was the n18 egr valve
so my very important question is- could this have led to my turbo failing?many thanks Ryan, Mark.

i doubt the N75 caused the failure unless it was holding it closed, more than likely stuck vanes.

If you have concerns fit a new one but you dont 'need' a PD150 N75, TBH its the same on more than the PD150!

Hi Ryan is there any difference between the pd150 exhaust manifold gasket
and the one that you sell for the 1.9&2.0 tdi as the prices are different,Also
you said the n75's are more or less the same but my alh polo had the n18 that was actuating the turbo not the n75, sorry i did not make myself clear so could the turbo have failed because the N18 was operating the acuator controlling the vanes? once again many thanks Ryan, Mark. by the way the vanes were ok and moving , thanks
sorry one more thing , are the PD150 & 130 the same inlet manifold?thankyou.
