Hello everyone, would this be off my tdi after oil was changed?
It was laying in drain pan and I'm trying to figure out if it came from TDI

Thanks

Picture is fine for me, doesn't look like any TDI engine internal part I recognize, but hopefully wiser people weigh in. :)

That looks too big to come out of the oil drain, unless it was just right. Definitely not anything I've seen in a TDI.

We have a lot of different equipment on the farm,,,,, and it was laying in the oil drain funnel we use for under our auto lift. Someone could have emptied a can that had that in it... we are pretty sure it’s a pressure relief valve,,, but no clue at this time what it went to . Thanks for the replies

I tried searching the interwebs for that image, found nothing. First time I tried that, guess the technology ain't up to speed yet.

Looks like the end of a push rod except for the spring inside and no evidence of a break.

Is there any suchey of a thing as a hydraulic push rod? You know, same idea as a hydraulic lifter???
