At the risk of sounding redundant I have a question.

What does the "PD" or "non PD" mean?

I'm trying to understand exactly what I've got in this 2000 Jetta - build date is 11/99.

Any help is much appreciated.

PD stands for Pump Düse or Unit Injector. Basically, each cylinder gets is own high-pressure fuel pump. This was introduced in North America in the 2004 model year TDI's. From 99.5 - 2003, the ALH engine has a central fuel pump. Yours falls into this category - Non-PD.
