car at dealer 2 fault codes

HI, everyone I have 2 fault codes P2201 NOx sensor 1 bank 1 Implausible signal. And P2209 sense circuit for heater for NOx sensor 1 bank 1. Implausible signal. Can this be a software issue from the emission fix. Or is this a mechanical issue. Hope to hear your thoughts. TIA Dave

I can't find any info after a quick web search, but I seem to remember there being a recall for this before Dieselgate. I want to say it was something to do with wiring.

Thanks for the quick replies. roni024 i did read something about the connector to the NOx module getting water in it and corroding the pins. 740GLE we think alike thats the first question i asked the wife. Of course she denies hitting anything but who knows.

Maybe, just maybe, if you stopped referring to her as "the" wife, she might be more forthcoming...HAHA!

I call mine "the dishwasher". I know she loves it, even though I get smacked every time I say it.

Sometimes i call her wife #2 she loves that lol. The dealer just called had to order a new NOx sensor and a software update he hopes this will fix it.we"ll see it should be done tomorrow. Thanks guys i'll keep you posted. Dave

Probably a hardware failure. I just had mine replaced a few weeks ago under the emissions warranty.
