Frustrated

I have a 2011 golf TDI with DSG which when driven above 80 km/hr has a whistling wind noise coming from the left window/mirror area. this noise started suddenly two months ago and I cannot locate where the sound is comming from. I taped of suspected areas to isolate the wind whistle but have no success. Has anyone out there experienced this problem? The Golf is a four door with 28000 km on the odometer. My next step is to have the dealer identify where tis whistle is comming from.

if it's under warranty, I'd have them fix it. Taping the areas is the only way I know to diagnose...

Check the weather stripping and see if it got folded up or kinked by the window. I have a similar issue with my car, and they were not able to locate it, but told me that is usually the answer. Good luck.
