Hello,

On my skoda octavia elegancefrom 2005, the instruction manual says that the right mirror should tilt downwards when selecting reverse gear.

It does not. Any idea if is is a missing coding ? But according to the manual it should do it.

I also have a skreeking noise from all the electric windows. On the right front side, there must be a lot of resistance, because sometimes the windows gos down on its own, as if there was a hand between the window and the frame.

Is this a known failure ? Can i grease somewhere and it will be better ?

Regards

Check the reverse lights work, it could be the signal for the mirror is tied to the same switch.

For the electric windows, roll them down and spray some silicone spray in the runners, that should help. Once you've done that put the window all the way down and hold the switch down for 5 seconds or so then all the way and keep holding the switch for 5 seconds or so. I think that teaches the ccm or door module where the top and bottom are.

For the reverse tilt feature, do you have the power mirror adjuster set to the passengers mirror?

Thanks Seatman, I will try that with silicone.
The reverse light is ok.

The instruction manual say that this feature is standard and not an option, and yes i have the control set to right mirror.

But i do have this error in vcds - maybe there is a connection ?
