hi all. i'm new to this forum and new to the vw community. i bought a 02 golf tdi about 14 months ago, it had 93K when i bought it and now has about 103K. it sits for a few months at a time when i'm out of the country working. anyways, this time when i returned home and began driving again i noticed that i can't hear the turbo spooling like i used to. there is no check engine light and no noticable loss of power. also, the brakes sometimes loses power (it seems when the clutch is engaged and coasting to a stop). the pads are fine and there is no air in the lines. i was wondering if this could be a vacuum issue. from what i read online it seems like these two issues could be related (ie: brake booster/turbo vacuum hose leak). anyways, like i said i'm new to vw's, but i am mechanically inclined. any help would be appreciated. thanks.
