I'm seeing way too many horror stories on the forums with buybacks gone wrong!

VW nor 3rd party Claims specialists/Ambassadors can't be trusted. Absolutely no one from the claims process will give us clear cut answers on anything.

With the amount of money at stake that that is owed to me from the buyback appointment, I plan on wearing a GoPro Chest mount to record every single thing for evidence! Yes I'm that superstitious of VW screwing me over....Can you blame me??? VW better own up to what is due to me what's stated on my offer.

Don't let VW/3rd party specialists screw you over folks! Record everything!

You could always retain a lawyer and bring them along with you...the firm of Dewey, Skruem and Howe specialize in this kind of business.

You could probably hide the gopro in your tinfoil hat pretty effectively

You guys are cute. My car was turned in on Friday and its now Monday at 10am and still nothing from the bank. Theres a lot of money waiting and I am now even more frustrated because VW site says the claim is finished. No, its not.

Someone video taping you actually doing this would be more interesting/fun to see...

Has anyone received payment who selected EFT? Curious as to how many days it takes for the transaction to take place. I'm scheduled for the 14th.

I turned mine in last Friday at 2:30. Did not get my receipt from VW until 5:30 that day. I have not received the Chase email yet either. But they have said up to three business days for that email. Due to the weekend, today in the first, or possibly the second depending on how you want to count. And some have been delayed due to the dealership not putting in the FedEx tracking number in a timely manner, which is the final trigger for the EFT to start.

Most people have reported somewhere in the 24-36 hour time period for getting the email, and once done, having to money in there account by the next day.

Inconvenient? Yup, been wanting to sell this for over a year. But a one or two day delay (within the time period they said is possible) is not going to kill me after a year.

If you are anticipating an EFT from Chase, to get the money you will have to sign up with clearXchange.com at some point to enter your e-mail address, name, routing number and account number. So you can do it in advance. I did. I assume that means when Chase is ready to disburse the money to me, it will go right into my designated clearXchange account.

At least I hope so. Turned in the car at 1:30pm Saturday, got the e-mail from VW immediately, still waiting for Chase. Today is the first business day after my turn in, so I am not excited. Yet.

I took pictures of the guy while he took pictures of my car last Thursday. Lot of good that did me, I still don't have my money.

You do not have to sign up if your bank is part of the clearXchange system already, and the email you are using is the same one that you have registered with your bank.
