Just curious how fast my 2006 Jetta TDI is in the 1/4 mile. Online it says 17.6 stock. But I have a Stage 1 Micro tune. 125-hp 221-lb-ft. I have the Pocket-dyno application on my iPhone. sorta like a Gtech. Its estimating 15.6 1/4mile. I find that hard to believe with only a stage 1 tune.

This was my fastest run, 13.8419 (J15) I need to improve the launches!!

We drove down 120miles to the strip, managed 20 runs in 4hrs, then drove home. Each run was over 100mph.

Glad Ryan didn't beat my time. I sure need to do some winter work to get my Skoda back into the top 10....

You guys are running some respectable times. I just took my Golf to the drag strip a couple of weeks ago to get a some stock baseline runs. My best time was a 16.72 @ 82.80 MPH. My 60 foots were a horrible 2.77. I have a DSG and can't launch out of the hole due a bad off idle hesitation. I'll be getting a ECU flash soon and mabe a DSG upgrade with launch control. We'll see if I could break into the 15's eventually.

Ibiza PD130 GTB2260VK 2.2 bar boost 37 degree max duration std PD130 nozzles, non standard cam, estimated 260hp.
First time for drag racing for me, but the tarmac does not seem to be as sticky as it looks at Santa Pod, but at least it was dry. I think I was the only diesel.
Best time 14.328 with 103.2mph Terminal speed.
Runs 1-4 and 8-11 with 41kg passenger.
Last two runs I reduced tyre pressure from 34psi to 28psi.

Tune is pretty smoke free.
I am impressed with Ryans times I thought lighter car and less power and torque would have been closer and wer on speed, maybe I am getting too old!

here is my time slip. i believe the list needs to be edited :D

when i finish machining my new nozzles and i build my intake manifold the list will need be edited again :D:D

it is a 1999.5 alh fully built by me except for a whitebread full race port job and a drivers fire gtb2260vk and tube manifold everything else was done in house by myself.

I was going to say a 2 second launch is good going. Never seemed to get better than 2.3 myself. Definitely think saying a couple of tenths at the 60 foot will mean a good half second or more quicker over the 1/4. :)

PS: I will edit the list when I get a few more times in.

Its all about keeping traction not dumpimg the clutch. My best 60' time was at a 1/8 mile strip. 1.81 and was the beginning of a 8.7 1/8 mile run

Went back to the Drag strip to try and better last months 16.72 @ 82.80. I had a Revo Flash done 2 weeks ago and I did a best of 16.11 @ 85.11 MPH this time around. The biggest improvement was due to a better 60 foot time/launch. I'm now experiencing traction problems after modifying my launch technique with my DSG. I wanted to play with my tire pressures ( I was still running 38 PSI right off the street), but I ran out of time and had to head home. With some more bite I might have been able to crack into the 15's. We'll see what my next outing brings.

It's nice to see another newer Tdi post some times. I'm curious how your water/alcohol system works on top of your current tune. I know on my Evo I had to do a complete retune to take advantage of my water/alcohol injection. I have an extra Aquamist system that I could piece together that I would like to try on my Golf. Hope everything works out well.

Will get the slip on here soon but intend to Improve this VASTLY soon. It's my womans car and she did the slip.

Was doing the typical DSG issue at the line and wouldn't launch for ****. She got a 16.44 at 84, when I get the 60ft down - it was over 3 seconds it will improve dramatically. Going to troubleshoot this launch thing and see if I can defeat it, if not will chip the DSG or get the stock reflash.

Car is stock 2012 with 2800 miles on it and 18" Detroits with the pirelli's off at 2012 GTI, have a slew of mods coming for her but this was her baseline, can only improve from here:)

once the 36k warrenty runs out will doe the malone Stg 2 and DPF delete and see how low we can get it, hoping for 13's in the end, but mainly will be tearing up Autocross in it. Runs were made 28 April 2012 BTW at Orlando Speedworld.

Update the Table Jason!!!!

At Santa Pod in the Jetta on 22/04/12 - Headwind killed everyone's times but the car felt much stronger than last!! Snapped a shaft on the 13th run!!
