5 Speed Shifting

Okay, all you motorheads I need some help, first the car:

2K Blk/Blk GOLF TDI GLS Monsoon, Luxury, Package etc and so forth, sweet ride

currently have 22k miles. Here's the question: has any one experience the tranny getting stuck in a gear when skipping a gear on a down shift ie. 5th to 3rd etc. I have had this happen a number of times and its a bear to get going again because you basically have to start out in 3rd and then clutch it to unbind the gears. So, there it is any suggestions? I have taken it to my trusty VW dealer and they claim there is nothing wrong.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. I can't offer any advice except for this... Try posting this in the general discussions area. There is a lot more traffic in that area. I'm sure someone can help you with your problem. Meanwhile, why don't you post a pic of your GOLF in this section. Good luck...
