Default What is this part?

So I found this part in the trunk of the Passat in the DPF refill nook. It is nothing but plastic but I did find similar at the link below

http://www.ebay.ie/itm/351356731016

It is only the part in the top right picture

Wondering what it is and where it came from. Thanks

Sounds like someone on he assembly line dropped an empty connector shell into the car as it was being built.

There is reference in GERMAN to a temperature sensor. If in the AD blue area it would make me wonder if they had replaced the heater or connecting cable and the old part was left behind?
Just my guess.

Thanks JP and compu. I was thinking along the same lines. I'm not having any problems with the car so it is reasonable to think it is not important.
