I bought new tires, thought it was time for alignment, dealer said the right TRE was frozen, would replace inner and outer for $700. I said I'll get back to you on that.
So far, I haven't been able to break it loose, talking about where outer rod threads into inner rod, the end itself is in good condition. I want to avoid tearing the inner's boot, but if I have to remove the inner TRE, the boot has to be cut.
So, if that happens, how do you put a new pleated boot on? It's really inaccessible! Thanks for any tips.
