1500 miles.
60-40 hwy/city
Mpg average 42
First three tanks mpg 39,42,47

Pretty happy since I've been using AC and driving pretty carefree and enjoying the sport and dsg rpms.
Tank is noticeably smaller and range will never allow 600

I am at 490m on 1st real tank with 125m showing as range. Probably won't make 600 on this tank but never is a very long time

I've been filling up around 375 miles. Mix of highway and local streets with a bike on the roof. Real test will be in two weeks when I have to drive 375 miles all highway to northern Vermont and back with the bike on the roof. Waiting patiently for Draw-Tite to release a hitch so I can get the roof racks off. I emailed them they told me they aren't even looking at hitches for the 2015s yet and to check back in about 6 weeks to see if they have started designing something.

Filed up twice, first one was about 38 mpg average and the second time with more highway driving I was up to about 41 mpg for the tank.

Lower profile tires

I was wondering how the ride is on the golf sel with the lower profile tires.I washed my Passat yesterday and noticed I have a sidewall bubble on one of the front tires.Car only has 4k miles on it.I've had my share of problems with these low profile tires . Bought the wheel and tire insurance this time around.

Second full tank 580 miles 52.7 MPG. For the tank. Fueled about 5 miles after the low fuel light went on (was convenient)

Mostly commute, country roads, some highway but in the mountains.

This car is dramatically better FE than my Passat, just outstanding.

My first tank was 35mpg on a road trip up to the blue ridge mtns. Not bad for a gasser tsi with auto trans and 18" wheels.

I haven't had a chance to get a full tank average... but got 52.5mpg indicated on my 100 mile trip home today which included stop and go traffic, 30-40mph traffic, and then 70-75mph cruising once out of traffic.

Absolutely amazed at the mileage this car returns. VW has achieved 50mpg while meeting US emissions!

Totally music to my ears :) May be, I will ditch the dream of owning a 328d and go for another G baby (could never stand the "big" Camcord Passat with no xenons :D

Mine is numbers from the display. I saw several comments across different boards that people seem to find the display number between 5-10% inflated.
I calculated mine to read about 2-3 mpg higher than actual. Most of my driving is city... Though longer distance. But lots of stop/go, and much highway.

That is disappointing. In the Mk6 it seemed to be pretty accurate. But I too had seen reports of it being inflated in the Mk7.

Mine registered 63mpg over 20 miles on a flat highway at 65mph. I drive with a heavy throttle most of the time so i can't verify based on a full tank, but has anyone seen crazy numbers like this?

2015 Golf TDI,
I averaged 60mpg over a slightly downhill portion of highway for about 70 miles.

Something to keep in mind for inflated numbers is WOT. When you punch it, it is highly unlikely the computer can accurately measure fuel.

Nice! I'm hoping to get a long distance trip in sometime in the near future, to see if I can break into a 600mile tank. Most my driving is city, with little highway.

So far I'm more than happy with the fuel economy, coming from a VR6 Eurovan - this is a delight! And I can't remember ever having a car that was spot on in readying MPG's accurately in the system. MB E320 CDI, BMW 530i, Audi A4, VW Touareg .... They were all off by roughly similar margins.

640 tank this past weekend. Came in at 53 MPGs

I was expecting better than my Passat but three ranks in a row at 52 or better! Woot!

My current tank I am at 310 (gauge is 3/16ths to half) with 405 on the to-go meter. The "since fueled" gauge reads 60.2 (three miles above the long term of 57)

Will likely fall this weekend, baseball, soccer and shopping oh my!

Can confirm that displayed MPG is inflated (44 vs 40 MPG). Both extended period and fuelly are tracking the same miles (minus this current tank).
