We sell both: For some reason head gaskets are hard to source right now. We believe that Felpro measures the thickness of the gasket, and the Victor Reinz measurement is piston protrusion (deck height) that the gasket fits.

Sorry my quicky search just showed the one.
So what you're saying is the OPs 2 different numbers may actually be the same 2 hole gasket?
Also (trying to learn something) you would use the same gasket that's in the car unless you are replacing components like pistons, rods, maybe even crank?

Yes, the two numbers may be for the same 2-hole gasket, because one is measuring gasket thickness and one is measuring piston protrusion.

And yes to your second question. Head gasket thickness is determined by piston protrusion. You would use the same gasket unless you're replacing pistons and/or rods. Even if you're replacing or decking the head.
