I stuffed a 40 gallon water heater in there yesterday, just had to fold down the big half of the rear seat and it fit like a glove, I wasn’t expecting to be able to close the hatch but no problem, probably coulda fit a 50 gallon in there:eek:

Impressive! These things really can swallow up a lot of cargo. My wife and I fit an IKEA Kivik sofa and a crib (still in boxes) in one go! We had to do some rearranging to make it work, but it all fit with the hatch closed and everything
Edit: not sure how to rotate the photo...

Impressive! I loaded a 1980 ford 302 5.0 block plus ported 289 heads... very HEAVY. It was in my old 2011 JSW from Arkansas to Florida. She didn’t skip a beat.

Just over 560 lbs of laminate

At 18 boxes of just over 30 pounds each. The car was definitely a little low but it handled it like a charm! Wish I took a picture of the haul.

Had a huge feral hog I shot while checking my traps on the way home from work once. Just happened to have a tarp and .22 stinger in the ear to keep the blood down.

I hauled tile last week too, took 11 cases at 54 pounds a piece and I’m lowered on H&R sport springs, never bottomed out on the 3 mile trip home

1500lbs plus me. had 30 bags of animal feed. folded down the rear seats. put 5 bags of feed on the passenger seat and floorboard and the rest in the back. stacked to the roof as far forward as I could. She sure felt heavy but never bottomed out and still got 41mpg on the 52-mile drive home. That's the heaviest. I have stuffed it full of other things thou. always to the amazement of my wife who teases me about driving a station wagon.

I've loaded it to the gills before when moving the kids to college and back. It's amazing just how much stuff this little wagen can swallow.

Complete sbc 350 engine with TH400 transmission attached.

I think the 1500 lbs of animal feed takes the cake so far.

Totally agree!

My stove was ~500lbs, the pigs were ~600 lbs, and I regularly (1-3x/wk) haul 400-600 lbs of wet brewer's grain home for livestock -- but to haul >3x my average payload is stunning. And I thought I was hard on the car.

To be fair, I haven't really tested the suspension since I lifted the #farmenwagen. Probably won't have to, now that I have the Cummins in the fold. Thankfully.

These cars are incredible, underrated. I want it to last another 350k km or more.
