Folks,

I am installing my new turbo as my old one went.. replaced many parts as I am doing this install myself.

I noticed the previous owner had cut the hardness going to the turbo actuator and the wire colors are different.

I want to fix this issue but need to confirm the correct wire colors belonging to the 3 pins...

the harness he has didn't seem to be correctly spliced into the car wiring.

can anyone send me a pic or let me know which wires belong to which pins? ( 3 in total)

I want to ensure a new harness is used and spliced into the correct wiring.

any help is greatly appreciated!

car is a 2005 VW Golf 1.9 TDI MK4 BEW

Pin 1 is lilac/white , Pin 2 is green/brown and Pin 3 is yellow/green.
You can always check back to the 60 pin connector on the ecu. Pin 1 goes to pin 23, pin 2 goes to pin 9 and pin 3 goes to pin 26.
Hope this helps.

Where did you source the pigtail?
All I can find is the empty connector, no wires! I broke my wires trying to get them out!

I would leave the harness alone.

The VW way is to sell the empty pigtail and "repair wire" kits.... sets of yellow wires about a foot long with with the proper connectors installed at the ends.

There are a couple different sizes available... if memory serves the position sensor connector uses the smallest version.
