High idle?

I was wondering if there is any way to have a TDI do a high idle to warm up quicker? I know my Duramax has a setting in the computer to make this happen. If this is doable, what are the steps that need to be taken to accomplish?

Problem with that is you have a high idle even when driving which is annoying.
