If I didn't have three ALHs already, then I might buy this car. Nice looking car, but I would double the price at least if I was you. The 2003 wagon is the most desirable of the ALHs and go for $5000-$7000 easy.

They are the most desirable in my mind because of the interior space. The Golfs are more desirable to many enthusiasts and often fetch a higher sales value. This year, there was near mint 03 wagon listed FS in this forum and on CL. It was offered for several months for just over $5k. When he dropped it below $5k, it still took some time. $5-$7K "easy" is an exaggeration. It was probably an accurate statement 5-7 years ago. The west coast market remains an exception.

The Golfs don't have the option of leather unless someone added it. I would rather have the wagon than a Golf. I am assuming no rust with my statement, but it appears this car has no rust. I would say $5K at least. Higher fuel prices will solve this problem though.

Why would you go on someone's post and tell them to up their price? There are issues listed with the car and if it hasnt had the timing belt water pump service...then the price is a friendly price for a tdi enthusiast or newbie to get into...the cars that go for double this are usually cars that are mint or close to it...this is nice but not mint...

Please update the first post to show it is sold. That way, members don't read through the whole list of posts only to finally see that it is gone.

Thanks,
