I would like to ask for some opinions, since i recently bought a passat b6 3C.
2008 DSG, 2.0TDi BMP engine.
The car started to enter in LIMP mode from time to time and it pulls out P0404 EGR performance open position.
I trided to check the VNT and the actuator it doesn't look bad but i can hear a light spool from turbo. maybe it remains a little bit open, maybe i need to CLEAN VNT from Turbo??
when i delete errors the car drives good but between 1500-2000rpm the turbo flutters and after it passes in limp mode again. it looks like some pressure comes back i guess
i have been hearing a noise between 1400-2300rpm and i recently find out that it looks like EGR cooler leaks somewhere. Is it possible to cause OPEN EGR VALVE for this reason?
I changed EGR VALVE and i tried to check other sensors also but it seems to be fine.
HONESTLY I DONT KNOW WHAT TO CHECK MORE, any ideas i would really appreciate!
