How to get pin retainer out of injector pump plug

I need to replace the quantity adjuster on an ALH and need to depin the injector pump plug. I messed with the purple retainer a bit trying to get it out but thought I would ask how it releases before I risk destroying it.

It doesn't come all the way out, it just slides towards one of the long edges of the connector. There are 2 clips on the narrow ends that you push in then slide the purple part up.

Most of the wires are not color coded so make sure you keep track of where they go.


It's been a few months since I've done this so hopefully what I'm saying is accurate.
