• The TDIClub classifieds section is a heavily trafficked section of the forum that encompasses want-to-buy (WTB) and for-sale (FS) threads for the entire world. Due to the demanding nature and fast pace of this section, it is imperative that you know and understand the rules. It is also important to remember that this is the only parts classifieds section.

Cross-posting and posting classifieds in the regional sections (except the dedicated thread in Ontario) is not permitted.

Multiple items should be sold in one thread. Make sure to provide a description for all items in your post along with pictures and prices. If you start multiple threads with individual items, they will be locked or combined at the discretion of the moderators.

Here is a quick outline of the classifieds section rules. If you don't follow these rules, you subject yourself to thread deletion, thread combination, infractions, or posting privilege revocation.

    Thread titles:
    • Put FS or WTB in your thread title. This will let other users know if you are selling or buying.
    • Briefly describe what you are selling. Thread titles have limited space. Be as descriptive, yet succinct, as possible.
    • Put your location in the title.
    • If space allows, put your price in the title

Title example (single item): "FS: 2004 Mk4/BEW cylinder head - Portland, OR - $500"
Title example (multiple items): "FS: MK6 fog lights, front bumper, headlights, grill - Detroit, MI"
Title example (car part-out): "FS: Mk3 Jetta parting out engine & interior - Dallas, TX"

    Thread text descriptions and pictures:
    • All for-sale threads must include pictures of the items that you are selling. One picture is sufficient, but multiple pictures with different angles will help buyers. A picture is worth a thousand words. If you don't know how to post pictures on TDIClub, see this thread: http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=286691
    • All for-sale threads must include a description. We don't charge per-word, so be as descriptive as possible. The more information you can provide, the easier it will be for buyers.
    • All for-sale threads must include a price. Auctions and bidding are not allowed. If you want to auction something off, use eBay.
No picture, no price, NO SALE!

    Thread maintenance/updates/bumps:
    • When you sell something, update your thread with "SOLD!" Moderators will close the thread and update the title.
    • If you have multiple items for sale, update your thread as each item has been sold. When everything has been sold, updated the thread with "ALL ITEMS SOLD!" Moderators will close the thread and update the title when all items have been sold.
    • If you bump your thread, please delete old bumps by clicking on EDIT and then deleting the old bump. This will reduce clutter in your thread and make it easier to read. It also makes you look less desperate.
    • If you drop your price, please update your first post in addition to posting the new price. If you would like the thread title changed, click on the report post icon and let a moderator know what you would like the title changed to.

    Moderator intervention and infraction points:
Moderators will be monitoring the classifieds section. If a moderator determines that you have not been following the rules listed above, corrections will be made and infraction points will be assessed to your account.

What is an infraction point? Simple - it's a system of keeping track of user behavior. A moderator can assign a point value based on the severity of the infraction, as well as an expiration date on the points assessed. If you accumulate a certain number of points, the system will auto-ban you for a predefined amount of time. The more points you accumulate, the longer your ban period will be.

One example of points is as follows: multiple threads will be combined into a single thread, with the number of infraction points assessed corresponding to the number of threads merged. If we merge four threads into one, then you will be assessed four points that expire in 30 days. When you reach five points, the system will auto-ban you for one day.*

*This is an example based on the current infraction system structure. We reserve the right to modify the infraction system at any time without notice or updates to this announcement.

Thank you for your cooperation, and good luck with your sales and searches! :)

ok heres the deal.

ive been working on my build and have finally got everything in and put together. only problem is i have a leak between the engine and tranny about table spoon every time it is shut down.

i'd like to finish it and get it on the road but i will be going back to school after this summer vacation. and dont have much time left to get it going and broke in.

i will sell the car with the new motor in it built for a gtb2260vk watercooled
as well as the stock motor and tranny i pulled out of it.

the new motor has the folowing

whitebread ported head
rosten dual valve springs
colt stg 2 cam
eurospec girdle
2.0l pistons
rosten rods
11mm pump
gtb2260vk watercooled from drivers fire
fmic
race520's
new transmission with pelloquin lsd

and more i'm sure i'm missing

the car is in great shape the motor starts up and runs fine just has this oil leak that is frusturating and i just dont have time to fix it.

i will let this car go for much less than i have in the new engine and tranny and you will also get another stock engine and tranny along with it.

i dont want to sell but i just dont have the time to get it all setup and going perfect before school starts back up. my loss is your gain!

pm for price. thanks

i ended up replacing the rear main seal i bought at autozone with one from vw and it is no longer leaking. the car is running great and is very fast even though we have it turned down quite a bit with tuning for the break in period.

however the car is still for sale but the price has gone up since everything is working.

i donot need to sell the car anymore but will for the right price ..

the right price would be slightly less than what you would expect to spend on parts alone to build a car to around 250 hp see my build thread for a list of mods

really... since az makes felpro huh??

vw oem is better... nothing wrong with felpro on my jeep wrangler;)
autozone dont make anything unless its outsourced, autozone may carry felpro. but if you look, these auto parts stores are moving away from trusted brand names to outsourced products.

but who cares, the trusted brand names where starting to be made in china and fail too.

the price of this car, which may or may not be 2 or 4 doors, is what a beyerdynamic headphones is, plus the cost of a 2011 A3 TDI, minus the cost of an A3 Jetta with cloth interior and automatic transmission, plus the cost of Trader Joes Lemon heart cookies!
It also may or may not be in TX, somewhere in TX.

in most other forums, there is a rule of providing an asking price. I suggest the same is done here.
Along with not linking to other sites, such as craigslist. I think it works very well.

I agree. Why not cut to the chase and save yourself and the potential buyers time and make proper listing? It seems such a waste of time to have ask a bunch of basic questions which could easily be listed to save everyone time- I know I don't have a bunch to spare.

list price or gtfo? seriously though man if you want to sell the car list the price and sell it. If you want to sell it, but only for the magical right price... just take the listing down and wait for Donald Trump to come to your house and offer you a million bucks for it.

Cause no one cares to buy your car bad enough to go search the cost of all your parts and labor costs and then make a reasonable offer, at that point they're gonna want a dicount for the PITA you've been ;)

The joys of selling a modded car. To bad the mods never actually increase the price.

You'd be better off parting it.

I have significantally more than that in the car i just know i cant ask to break even
Thats funny as hell that you think you could get even close to that for this car I still havent seen. You will never get back what you put into mods. You will be luckey to get 10k. Enjoy the car no one will but it. This has to be one of the worst for sale threads ever. It took me a while to even figure out what ypu were selling.

i'll give you 18,000 hobo dollars! lol!

yeah, um, get past the denial part of getting "what you put in".
Unless you find some dumbass rich kid whose parents just **** money. in which case, you might get lucky.

i've been dealing with motorcycles a lot lately. let me tell you, you can buy a new bike for $10, pour $5k into it and NOT get $15k + labour.

and for your labor? what are you charging this potential buyer, $200 per labor hour? lol.

and you didnt even give a freakin PICTURE! what the **** man!?

This reminds me of the Jett guy with the lmabo doors who had a 10k motor rebuild lmao

Dude, no offense, mods reduce the price of the car. The fact that you have 20k in mods in your car is hysterical when after blowing my car up 4 times I don't even have 15k of mods in my own vehicle. I would certainly not sell a used modded car for as much as the car was worth brand new off the lot let alone with in 3k of a fully loaded GTI brand new lmao.
