Local scrap yards are only paying about 200 for a complete car.

Id estimate a mint wagon tdi with bad slush box but good running otherwise could be worth 1500 to 2k for the right buyer. Sedan maybe 750 to 1200

That is mint, nice exterior with no flaws but maybe some small imperfections from road use, no dings no dents, no foggy lights and a nice clean interior that is dry.

No rust no saggy head liner, no wet carpets after rain.

A tdi passat in lesser condition locally goes for 300 to 500. Too many well documented issues with these cars tdi or gasser that keep the resell value down outside the enthusiasts. Low resell on mint driving cars means parts cars or project cars are even less.

Ive bought sold/scrapped 6 passats in the past 3 years, currently own 3 and not more than 2200 in all three of them initial purchase price, one i drove home and sold the working slush box to fund the 5 speed swap.

Unfortunately that car is only worth its' scrap value. Too old with too many problems.
