I don't think it would happen if it was off only 1 tooth from what I hear. Not sure on that though. It would be hard to start and run pretty rough though.barry_james1 said:First thing I said to them... They reckon would bend valves if it was?????
Not sure what ran like a dog means? Dogs can run pretty fast.barry_james1 said:They disconnected to MAF and ran like a dog, so guess that eliminates that?
Do you have a boost gauge installed? It would be easy to check if your turbo is functioning properly then. A vacuum line leak can contribute to slower turbo spool up and in return less "punch".barry_james1 said:Yes indeed, i'll cut the 'slang' in future!
Welcome.....barry_james1 said:No boost gauge installed, its stock apart from remap.

The only way I can think that would increase compression too high would be by using a head gasket that is too thin, the heads themselves are flat surfaced with no combustion chambers, so skimming the head won't increase compression.
I can't see why injectors failing would make it that far down on power, or increase the compression either. They might be incorrectly set up though, but how far down on power this would make it is anyones guess.
To setup injectors on a PD I'm pretty sure they have to be measured from the end of the head and sit squarely.
As the car is at a VW dealership I'm pretty sure they know what they're doing, you never know you might get lucky and have a new short motor fitted
You might think that, however, here in the States Diesel Auto competence is at a premium at the dealers' according to the common wisdom.DervDub said:As the car is at a VW dealership I'm pretty sure they know what they're doing, you never know you might get lucky and have a new short motor fitted
