The dealer said I needed a "micro switch", which is apparently integrated into the door lock, for a grand total of $380 installed.
My issue is that the passenger door doesn't operate the dome light, or get recognized in any way by the car as being open. You can arm the system with the door open, and if you sit inside with it armed, you can get out the passenger side without alarm.
I figured there was just a pin switch that closes when the door is open, like every other car on the road.
