WTB: Mk4 TDI Golf (Chicago area)

here's what I am looking for:

1999-2003 VW Golf Tdi OR Jetta Wagon.
Miles don't matter to me if the car has maintenance.
Manual trans preferred
4 door a must
not looking for perfect, but looking for a "reliable daily driver", minor work necessary is okay, but drivable as-is is necessary.

with a budget max of $3500.

is this possible? Am I setting myself up for failure? I don't want to travel more than 200 miles from Chicago.

Whatcha got? I've combed CL and found a few candidates, but nothing is for sure yet.

I have one in Louisville, very well sorted but have to up your budget a bit.
