I'm totally inspired by all the love for this car, and I'm not exempt! This car is FABULOUS, and I let everyone know! Where else can you get incredible German engineering, great gas milage, great handling, cool blue dashboard lights, etc etc. My 1999 has about 16,000 miles on it, gets a lifetime average of 47.93 mpg, and has been starting fine in the cold so far up here in Minnesota. I'll have to see how it does when it has to start at -20 F. Brrr. Not often but it does occur. Let me know how you like my Golf, and let me know if there are any other Minnesotans that read this forum. Email me at espelt@winternet.com

You'll have to post some pics later of the winter wonderland (ie covered in snow!).

Yep, it's green, with the two tone interior I think VW calls Hellbeige. The dash is black and the seats/carpet/doors/ceiling are tan colored.

Hellbeige is just the German word for
"light beige". Beautiful car! I especially like these beige interiors. So much cheerier than the usual grey or black drabness.

Excellent ride my man!

That is real cool that your family drives Golfs. I know that their are many families that have Passats/Jettas. But Golfs! Cool!

Golf TDI's are the most commonsense vehicle in the world. Great choice.
