Hi all,
Quick question.
Every winter I experience high pitch squealing noise from my fan. I made a video of it on YouTube
http://youtu.be/knRopTSbZVw
The issue seems common - see this thread http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=70010
I am just curious what part I should replace. Is it the Heater Fan Motor that needs replacing? The part costs about $32 on Roeseland.
Any idea on labor involved to get this done - apx. time to replace the motor.
Thanks in advance,
Uncas

I'm experiencing the same thing, although not as loud as yours but present at all speeds.

I remember watching that video a while back. It's a great if you're trying to fall asleep.

I had the same issue... now resolved.
See this thread.

Hopefully you can do the same, but do not use WD40 to lubricate. Lots of heat around the blower motor and resistor pack and WD40 is very flammable.
Good Luck.
