Hi my friends I am really new here!

I would like to ask BV43d from 2.0tdi or gtd1449vz is better at low revs and around 180 190 horse power!
My car is golf r line 1.6 tdi 110 ps.... I know that the best turbo choice is 1752vrk but from the other 2 which one is better!?

There is plenty of cars running with gtd1449vz in Turkey.
If the goal is about 200 hp, it's good turbocharger then.
Also bv43d from 2.0cr 190, several cars that we have. Especially on CAV engined 1.6 tdi Polo's.. I know 2-3 Leon 5F which uses CXX engine with BV43d

My problem is that i want to avoid loosing much power at low revs! It is claimed that cars with gtd1449vz are dead under 2200 2300rmp!

not that really dead..

you are boosting 1.5 bars @ 1700 rpm with remap only.
2.0 bar @ 2200 rpm with 1449..

so you have still that torque at low revs. only the car doesn't feel that peaky after 1449 upgrade under 2000 rpm. ;)

Up! Any other choice for big turbo at 1.6tdi.

Had anyone else tried turbo from 2.0tdi 136ps
03L 253 056f BV40D!? Would it be a good choice for a 1.6tdi!?

BV40D is easy upgrade for BV39 but it is not that much bigger.

My next charger is "GTC1752VZ" hybrid. I am using 2.0 bottom end, i think that hybrid is not good idea for 1.6...

My current options are gtc1549vz, gtd1449vz, bv40d and bv40d. My target is around 190 hp.

If you have any other option I can hear it! I just want to have best spool at these hp.

GTD1449VZ is the best bet for quick response supporting 190 HP.

BV43D is big, comparable to a GTD17xx. That said, a GTD1752VRK with ball bearings would be alright also; you can gain a bit of transient response by getting the BMW electronic vane actuator (apparently 300 Hz PWM) to work with the N75 signals instead of converting to vacuum actuation. There are some threads discussing this - it has been done. The low-end response is also some function of the ECU mapping -- how much and how quickly the fueling map ramps up in consideration of the smoke map.

I know too little about the BV40D but expect it to be in the same frame size class as a GTD14xx.

Thank you tdimeister! So for best low spool until 190hp 1449vz and bv40d are the best choice! Both of them are almost bolt on. According to other threads in forum! The only problem is the actuator for bv40d!

Hi my friend! We currently have one car running with a hybrid turbo 176hp and one with gtd1549 with 190+ hp!

Hybrid turbo is more fun to be driven! Now we are going to change a turbo in a third car. We do not know what turbo are we going to use!

You looked on darkside developments web page ? What about Xman or got boost ? They all do turbos for virtually all models of vag cars…
