Have most of the good toys (including VDS-PRO to enable hatch-opening in sync with doors, and window roll-down with key fob). :)

I was just driving through the 909 this morning and had my laptop and cable with me. I am going back to AZ next week if you need help. Send me a PM if that’s the case.

One Snap-On Quantus OBDII scanner in our shop and 4 minutes 39 seconds and we have success at a 4.2 injector quantity. It ran all pids successfully. It’s an option and likely found more abundantly at independent shops

We're in the process of moving from Baltimore, MD to Westerly, RI, spending most of our time in RI. I have VCDS HEX-NET if anyone needs to solve a problem. Will scan for beer...

Looking for someone with VCDS or similar in the Albany NY area. I did the timing belt and need to fine tune the injection pump.

Try local car enthusiasts groups, the gassers use the same device.
Our map seems broken, vortex has a working thing here
Of course you only need a compatible OBDII device that can read Measuring Block 000, Field 2.

Hi,

I'm in Santa Rosa, CA 95409. I just did a timing belt on my 2001 Golf TDI ALH and am looking for help fine tuning the timing, etc. with VAGCOM / VCDS. I contacted the one member nearby via the Map, but no reply yet. Granted it was just minutes ago. Thanks for your help!

Moved to the Prescott, Arizona area, HEX-CAN-USB, so I can scan most everything up to 2019 or so. I also have the 2x2 adapter to scan the 1990-1995 cars.

I need a little help here in Asheville to pair a new key chip to a 2006 Jetta TDI. I have a primitive OBD tool and I am not comfortable trying to write to the computer memory with it. Thanks.

Please send a PM if you can help.

You need VAGTacho, not VCDS to match keys to the immobilizer, but I'm pretty sure that the 2006 cars have Immobilizer 4, which can only be programmed by a dealer...

The "early" 2006 were still BEW / Mk4, whereas the later ones got the big upgrade to Mk5 and all of its "wonders".
Maybe @tjgalvin will be on the fortunate end of things with his Mk4 - in which case you need VAG-TACHO (or this software tool) to pull the cluster's PIN, then you can program the key with VCDS.

I thought it was 2005 on the model break. Early 2005 were mk4, later 2005s were mk5.

You may be right there. I always mix it up because I know that here in Canada, you could still buy a 2006 Jetta wagon (and only as a TDI, IIRC) in the Mk4 body style.
Wagon are different in that they were all made in Germany for the North American market and thus were handled differently than the sedans.

Ok this is going to show how little I know & that I am a total noob. I am about to pull my TDI and start my project and want to do it right, I know the ERG thing needs to go but need as Vagcom. I bought a 2021 Foxwell NT510, (here is a link to where I bought it:
will this do what I need for the EGR delete? If not, where do I find someone near Olympia WA?
Which year car? Most cars you need to actually tune it to do an EGR delete, with the exception of an ALH, which you can turn down with Vagcom.
