rear Fog Woes

Hey all,
So, I swapped out my rear lenses to GLI ones and these two came out and i failed to make a note of where they went... I googled and googled but I cannot find anything similar.
Where does the yellow color wire go?
The one in my had must be for the fog? it comes from the front of the car

Anyone able to assist please?

One wire is a plug, the yellow is a socket.
Could the one fit in the other?
Can you feed power to the yellow one and see if the light works?
Can you check if the wire in your hand had power only when the fog lights are on?
