When do we indicate our preferred payment method for a buyback?

On page 2 of my formal settlement offer it states:


"When you schedule your appointment, you will be asked to select your preferred payment method."

Scheduled my appointment the other day and nowhere was I asked to select my preferred payment method. So...?

Okay, doh! I realized now that I did already select the EFT option when I was doing the paperwork. (Not sure why the letter has that bit about selecting a method when making an appointment.)

So a few days after the appointment, you get an email from Chase re the EFT process? Seems kinda odd to return the car and then have to wait a few days for payment, but presumably it's worked out fine for others. I hope, lol.

Usually you'll get the email from Chase the evening of the next business day after you do the buyback.
