Engine stalling after startup

I wonder if the coolant temp sensor could be reading high, so that the glow plugs and timing advance don't come on. I guess you could take the lead off the coolant temp sender and see if it starts better. I think the engine's brain keeps the glow plugs on for 20 seconds or so with them disconnected.

Hello

I have an 1996 Passat TDI 90 Hp, Euru-spec.
The engine is chipped to 115 Hp(Wetterauer)

The car has done 160" Km`s without any hiccup`s,60" of them after chipping, but lately it has a habit of stopping after startup, especially in wet weather.

This is very annoying, often it takes 5-10 startups before the engine idles without stopping.

There hiccup is most prone to happen if the engine has not reached full operating temperature.

It has never stopped during driving, only during startup.

Changed the fuel filter yesterday, without any difference.

Any suggestions?
