Overpriced. The Xtool VAG401 discussed a few posts down is less than $70, is VW/ Audi specific, is actively updated, works well, and supports old and new cars. It can even extract key codes, something VCDS can't do. It has been able to scan every module of my cars, and results are consistent with VCDS. Big bang for the buck.

I just saw the ECS ad this morning, but I have no clue why they priced it so high. If I was prepared to spend $200, I'd pay a little more and buy VCDS instead. For most people, VAG401 will be sufficient.

I have no connection with any of the companies involved. I do own a personal VCDS system and a VAG401.

I agree, this thing is overpriced. It looks like an XTool in a different case. I too have both an XTool and VCDS and find myself using the XTool more often because it is so quick to hook up and can be thrown in a toolbox
