2009 Engine code

How do you determine the engine code ( CBEA or CJAA ) on a 2009 Jetta tdi .

The CJAA started in 2010 models. All 2009 TDIs (in North America) were CBEA.

P.S. As for how to determine it, it should be on the engine block near the top (IIRC), or it is easy to determine with a VCDS scan.

Tag on timing cover has it. It should be CBEA.
