Hey all, I'm looking into getting a magnetic oil drain plug for my bew. The ones I've been looking at from Napa and AutoZone "don't fit" my vehicle according to their website even though they say they're m14 x 1.5 threads. Does anyone have any insight on to why these won't fit?

Thanks

Have no idea. Maybe they gave you the wrong one. VW uses the same size as a honda, so you shouldn't have a issues getting one from any part stores.

If I remember from science class years ago, you can magnetize ferrous metals by rubbing it on a magnet over and over in the same direction. Just as you can demagnetize metal by dropping hard on a flat surface.

There's your problem, you believe their website. Have you got one
in hand and tried it? 14mm x 1.5mm thread is the same, no matter
what it "fits".
