Has anybody swapped in a full-size spare tire while keeping and securing the Fender subwoofer in its original location within the backside of the wheel?

With the cargo floor perimeter riser blocks in place (i.e. trunk floor in "upper" position), the subwoofer will fit partially inside a 17"/16"/15" spare wheel and the spare itself can be secured with the plastic stud and hand nut, but the subwoofer on top of it can no longer be secured that way because the subwoofer now sits up much higher in the smaller diameter, wider wheels and the plastic stud is not long enough. At least the raised subwoofer still clears the underside of the cargo floor.

I was going to connect a second plastic stud to the original stud with a short length of plastic pipe and use a second plastic nut to hold down the subwoofer, but was wondering if anybody had come up with a better solution.
