With this order in place, it's entirely possible that another order could fall from the Judge anytime.

This also pretty much says that those who were thinking about opting out need to have done it yesterday.

QUARTERLY REPORT IS OUT SOON

Here are all of the emails addresses again, if you haven't already please write a quick note advise you are delayed or no response, anything is better than nothing. If anyone else has other email address of others to include on this please let me know i will update this post.

Thanks for all who have been thus far, we have to do something, prior to all the emails the epa didn't have a vw email address dedicated to this issue now they do, i believe our efforts have been noticed. With all of the press about hard knox maybe this will also get attention make vw enforce the settlement as they were earlier last year.

If you haven't received a response from all on this list, email them again, they have to know we will not go away if they keep ignoring us.

Vw willfully accepted all brands of titles with accident history early last year, many made purchases because of this, the smoke show, delay game has gone on long enough. Lets all do our part in any way we possibly can.

Nothing to do with the thread, though.
I think Monkeygate will have a favorable effect on this group in influencing a judges decision re salvage title buyback claims. Law is still a very human, emotional institution. Didn't you see that crying monkey in that article photo? :)

I agree that this is related but of course im biased, if the judge wants to make sure this doesnt happen again, he will not side with vw which one would think would help any cars being held back.

I realize alot of us her are not happy with the treatment we are getting, but we need to do what we can, not what we cannot, try to keep it encouraging so we all do get to turn in our cars like most were able to do early last year.

I received an email today from CRC that my appeal is under review. It looks like a generic reply. I never appealed anything though because I wasn't denied anything (yet). However, I did write the CRC a few weeks back to please review my claim stuck in step 15 so I guess this is just a canned response indicating they received my email.

I realize this post is almost non-information but I get a little excited now when I hear anything other than crickets.

Hi guys, any input on my situation will be much appreciated. I'm a non-volkswagen dealer and currently have 13 tdi 2.0 cars, all with salvage titles ranging from years 2010-2014. I bought some cars in 2014, others in 2015 and some in 2016 from insurance auto auctions like iaai and copart. The cars have since all been fixed and as I'am a dealer they were never registered (I have all titles and bills of sales). I have claims already for every car but it has been almost 1 year and nothing is moving. Is it possible to hire an attorney and sue on our own ?? What do you guys suggest ?

I also sold a couple of cars but missed the seller deadline, anyone have an idea what could be done

Do you happen to live in Queens? If so, I think I have seen your cars parked while driving.

You are crap out of luck. You can sue, but it will probably cost you more than combined value of all your salvaged cars.

VW is not buying back any cars that had salvage title status before Sept 18 2015. Cars with salvage title after Sept 18 2015 and which were not operable on June 28 2016 are also excluded. Note that the definition of "operable" is not clear; also how do you prove or disprove that a car was "operable" on that specific date- the whole issue of salvage titles probably will be clear up this month.

Where do you get that salvage title issues will "probably" clear up this month?

This is not correct. The requirement is that a vehicle was not salvage before September 18, 2015 and acquired from a junkyard. I sold my Bug that was branded in mid-2015 back on 1/11/18. It was also wrecked. The buyback specialist didn't say a word about it.

Note that this isn't a sign of progress with salvage title buybacks, as I'd received the offer in early 2017 and was keeping the car as my daily driver until I wrecked it in December.

I think Jefcapp99 was correct when he said about that article, I just read this today, how funny they want to delay for 6 months for some kind a lawsuit.. Very concern about their image it seems like.

I think we all should join in a new class action lawsuit if nothing happens this month, otherwise we all will be waiting until September of 2018 to return our cars , if even they take them back like they should by the contract .

I may just do that. Half of our claims have been rejected so I believe it's fair game to pursue other legal paths. I may just give Melkersen a call unless there's a better option

Phone call from Phyong at Leaf last night about 7 PM. He says that he is hopeful for a resolution within 30 days. Not much more info beyond that to share. Says he is getting lots of emails generated by "the forums".

I asked about specifics on my case and he said that there are several claims against it as FO's and that there are loads of differing title brands from state to state that are causing slow downs. He also asked if I was operating my vehicle and what the title was branded specifically. He also said that all CRC decisions are final.

I talk to him to , pretty much same answers like PSD1, but he mentioned also they are inclined to just to the fix and restitution, buyback will be no more ,(on Salvage and Rebuilt titles if you bought the car in the 2017 like my case) if the judge approves it.

Is there an approved fix for the Gen I?

Yes, unacceptable and highly illogical when put into the context of the settlement. There are lots of liberal grants to owners in this settlement that appear to benefit owners and punish VW regardless of whether they could fix the cars or not. That was the spirit of the settlement. It doesn't matter what I think but the logical flow is there for anyone to trying to reconcile.

:43 PM :
==> I do apologize if the settlement process has inconvenience you in any way. If your vehicle has a branded title, which in your case you do, and you have not yet received an eligibility decision, your claim is undergoing additional review because of your vehicle’s branded title. Volkswagen and the Claims Supervisor are reviewing your claim and will issue a decision regarding your eligibility. Volkswagen is currently processing claims for branded title vehicles and anticipates that it will complete its review of branded title vehicle claims by approximately mid-April 2018. If you wish to appeal your eligibility decision after you receive it, you can submit an appeal to the Claims Review Committee. Crystal @ 2/8/18 6:49 PM :
==> It is up to our third-party auditors to validate your eligibility. I do apologize, but we do not determine your eligibility through our department. Once the review is finalized, you will receive an e-mail informing you of the status of your claim. We do not have a time-frame set in place for this process. We expect the reviews for branded titles to be completed in mid-April.
