Hi,

i would like to know if this engine : AJM PD115
(with 190 000Km, always serviced, model 2001 of bora/jetta MK4 with 6 speed gearbox) could handle a bit more than 200hp without being fragile ?

the config will be :
- Turbo ???? (Would like one that fit easily)
- Nozzle bosio race783
- Single mass flywheel + clutch kit from sachs
- Arl intercooler
- Decat pipe
- Custom remap

If you have any idea of better config let me know, i would like to achieve 200-220hp safe on a AJM pd115 engine

It's gonna be hard to achieve 200 PS from AJM engine.

The weekest part is turbocharger so the best way is to repalce it with the one from ARL engine [p&p], than do the same with PD injectors ,replace them with ones from ARL engine, then put FMIC and good remap and you'll have about 180 PS and 380 Nm ... these are safe values, if you want more i recomend to change engine [ASZ/ARL]

Regards.

Hi,
first thx a lot tdi-performance.
so i dont have to change clutch for thats torque/hp ?
do you know a place to buy 4 arl injectors from the same engine ?
If in fact i choose the way of changing engine by a asz or arl, is that a p&p engine ? Or will i have to change the wiring loom, ecu, driveshafts, gearbox,.. ?

arl turbo is not good for 200+ bhp..1749vm/vc with a str8 exhaust manifold would be good for up to 215 bhp,but you need other downpipe flange .arl/asz injectors, fmic ,131pd intake and a good tuner :D .r783 on oem injectors would be good too
Also a cheap way for the clutch would be a sharan 131pd clutch...and a smf from valeo.

Why not. 100hp PD bottom end can withstand around 300hp and some abuse. Even the Early 1Z can do 200hp reliably if you don't go crazy with torque. I'd say there is no point in touching the bottom end untill you have reached 250hp and around 500nm.

200-250bhp on stock botton end PD100-115 is no problem.
i have been running 200bhp on a VB turbo 1,75bar for over 1 year and 40.000km, and no problem and my friend have been runing stock PD100 with 220-230bhp with 2-3 different turbos the last 3 years and no problem..
