MK5 is the new Jetta body style, MKIV is the previous version.

I think the wagons are the MkIV, but the sedans are MK5. I don't know for sure.

In either case, they will have the same PD motor.

Ohhhh. Ok.

I wondered because of this

I thought all 05's were MKIV's?
All 2005's are the OLD body style MKIV
All 2005.5's are the NEW body style MKV

The TDI 1.9L is changed for the 2005.5 (slightly), and the Fuel Filter may, or may not be the same. (I used to have a 2003 MKIV)

And as I posted in that thread (with pictures), the filter for the MkIV is a complete canister (i.e., a metal encased filter), whereas the MKV is a cartridge (i.e, just the bare naked filter itself) that is inserted into the filter housing.
