Time to sell the 2003 Beetle TDI GLS! Details are as follows:
Located near Madison, WI
Yellow exterior
Grey cloth interior
5 spd manual
~208k miles
Timing belts changed by JasonTDI at 100k and 200k miles
Routine maintenance performed by me using Mobil 5w40 products (Delvac 1, ESP, or Turbo Diesel Truck) and VW or Mann oil/air/fuel filters.
The car shows the wear and tear of a 12 year old vehicle but does not have any rust. There are areas that will need attention for it to become a daily driver:
• I believe the alternator needs to be replaced
• Exhaust system needs work (pipe broke behind the cat)
• Airbag light is on
• Check engine light is on (I think it’s glow plug and/or MAF related)
• I believe the MAF is flaky (some days it hits a power wall at 2500 rpm)
• The microswitches in both doors don’t work right
• FOB doesn’t work anymore
• AC needs recharging
• Parking brake needs adjustment (doesn’t work currently)
• Starts hard in cold weather (glow plug system related?)
The mechanical items of the car all are original and in excellent shape.
• ALH Engine
• Turbo
• IP
• Transmission (fluid changed at 100k and 200k miles)
• About 25k miles on the Michelin Primacy MXV4 tires
• Timing belt changed at 200k miles

Hello again everyone. I have a offer on the car from my craigslist listing but would really like to see the car go to someone in the club. I feel that the car would have a better chance at survival or the valuable parts would be used to keep a different ALH on the road.
