Oil pressure light above 2000 rpms

I have a 2000 golf tdi and above 2000 rpms the oil pressure light and buzzer come on is this usually a oil pressure switch problem? Thanks.

I would have this towed in and checked. If the pressure switch is working you could have a big problem that needs to be fixed asap.
