Driving car, loss of cold air. 1 day later. Cold air on, but turns hot again. Coolant light on, stop warning & temp gauge up to 240. I stopped car & got off road.
Any ideas?

Thanks!

Fans? It's about the only thing common to both engine cooling and airflow over the condenser. Working for a few mins is also consistent with no fans/airflow - the thermal mass of the condenser will allow it to still function for a brief time before it overheats and the system trips the high pressure safety (or just can't make liquid refrigerant).

You don't mention what speed you were movijg when this happened - ? ? ?

I fink loss of AC is caused by overheat. Either ECU doing it or a coolant temp sensor. Dunno which on a '5.
