Default FS: 2002 Golf TDI auto in Colorado, lifted

A unique example of a rare vehicle! Asking $12,300.
WELL MAINTAINED- timing belt replaced, injection pump rebuilt, rear brakes re-shoed & all current required maintenance has been done within the past 20,000 miles. Car was serviced by local independent TDI specialist (Metrick Methodz in Ft. Collins, CO).
MODIFIED- suspension was raised two inches for better ground clearance. Stock VWs of this vintage are very low, and are prone to underbody and chassis damage on rough roads. Notice this car's ground clearance- that's a Coke can below the front bumper in the photo. For further protection, we added a steel skid plate beneath the engine. KYB AGX gas shocks were installed for firm handling. This car now handles much better than new! Canadian fuel supply sender was added to reduce the chance of winter fuel gelling.
This car delivers a proven 35-40 mpg on dino diesel or biodiesel blends. Monsoon sound system, black cloth interior, and a wife-pleasing 4-speed automatic. VW roof rack included. This 2002 model has a full set of safety equipment, including side and head curtain air bags. This is a one-owner car, driven by non-smoking adults, lovingly maintained in excellent mechanical condition. The cruise control doesn't work, but we will fix that for a full price offer.
There are minor cosmetic issues from parking lot mishaps, including a dented rear bumper cover and a key scratch on the driver's door (invisible in some lighting, prominent in others). There is also a dent on the LR wheel well, shown in the photo. We chose to ignore these cosmetic flaws and put our money into preventive maintenance and utilitarian modifications. This car is ready to faithfully serve you as a daily driver, or as a basis for further performance and appearance improvements.

I will provide additional photos by email to interested shoppers.
Run silent, run diesel
