My brm Jetta gave a code 000387. Mil light went on, and cleared itself!!?? A couple of times.
Code finally on steady. Found sensor on front driver side of engine. Connector removed, and as I did, the corroded/broken wire popped out of the spiwrap.
A delicate wire repair, but spliced in an extra couple of inches. Code cleared itself after 3 starts.
Engine seems peppier now, and the slightly lumpy idle has gone away also.
Easy find and fix....got lucky!
