F/S, B4V "PaTuDI"

It's time to let her go. She was rear ended 2 years ago and totaled. The body is bashed & tweaked but the drivetrain is solid. You're buying an engine and tranny and I'm throwing in the body for free.
Clutch has 7k on it (done by Matt, the guru of all things 1Z). TB was done 2 months before the accident. Mileage is 324K. Fires right up, runs strong
Heater is a sauna
A/C makes your teeth chatter
Upgraded to ALH IP
Sprint 520 injectors
All the -ectomy's (cat, muffler, vent)
Front body pieces and doors are good. Damage is to the rear lid and quarter panels and frame. Fuel tank remained fine.
We've stripped out a lot of interior stuff.
Will need a trailer to get it. It's been taken out of the Calif DMV system as "junked".

Time for someone to swap this into a GLX

Can you even find a clean B4 GLX anymore? Vanagon swap may be a better option.

I have a black magic pearl '97 GLX TDI wagon. 60K. They exist but are rare for sure.

Man this would be perfect if I could find a clean GLX wagon with a blown VR6

Bump! There's gotta be someone out there in need of a solid 1Z drivetrain for a 1996 Passat.

Someone make me an offer at least! Also have four doors and a hood in burgundy available (just the basic doors) separately.

I am interested in the right front fender, as well as fog lights/turn signals and the center console. Are any of those that I mentioned in good shape?

The car is not being parted out, it's being sold as a unit only.

CptJack, the San Murderdino LKQ just put a 96 green sedan in the yard today. No body damage, so any drivetrain parts will be a crapshoot.

Well, it looks like PaTuDI is going to a new home. The engine will be going into a Vanagon and the rest will end up at the wrecker. If anyone wants the tranny, let me know and I'll pass your info to the buyer. Saturday will be a sad day, it was the very first car that I researched, chose, found, and negotiated myself. Hubby's comment after we brought it home was "you definitely got the right car".

So much for it being sold. The guy made a time, and half hour after he said he'd be here, I called him and he told me he wasn't even on his way, plans changed, wasn't going to be able to buy it. A$$!!!!
